How to join the conference
On the 28th and 29th of January, the 10th ARPH Conference 2021 will take place entirely online, using ZOOM. Below, we outline a little bit more about how it will all be done. Please have look at the conference program webpages.
The program goes live during the conference days. This means that all “buttons” will be activated to guide you to the corresponding ZOOM rooms or other virtual places you need to be. One day before the conference, we will send everyone an email with the necessary password(s) you need to log in.
We will have two keynote speakers, Fuschia Sirois and Casper Albers, as well as a panel discussion with Andrea Evers, Marijn de Bruin en Robbert Sanderman. Both talks as well as the discussion will be held live and there will be time reserved for questions. Questions/comments can be either posted in the chat room or asked in person after being unmuted by the hosts.
On Thursday, three exciting workshops will be offered on the 28th (starting 11.00 hrs). Don’t miss out on participating! ZOOM rooms for workshops will be open from 10.45hrs. Each workshop has a limited number of spaces, so please make sure to sign up for a workshop in time following this link
We will have three parallel sessions with very exciting oral presentations. To allow for participants to move from one room to another easily, we will use ZOOM Breakout Rooms. Important note: in order to make this work, everyone needs to have the latest ZOOM version downloaded! Please see below for technical details and information.
Posters will be hosted on an external website. Conference attendees will receive access to the website on January the 27th, and all posters will be available until February 10th. Each poster will have its own discussion board where poster authors can respond to questions and comments. The first time you leave a comment on a discussion board, you will be asked to provide your email address in order to receive a confirmation code.
Virtual coffee breaks and lunch rooms
Throughout the entire conference, there will be a virtual platform open for you to meet other participants. More information will follow!
Aspects of the conference will use ZOOM Breakout Rooms, for example, so that attendees can choose which parallel session they wish to attend. In order for this feature to work, it is important that the latest ZOOM version is installed:
- For Desktop client or mobile app: version 5.3.0 or higher
- For ChromeOS: version 5.0.0 (4241.1207) or higher
Please click here for more information about updating your ZOOM version. If it is the first time you use zoom, then please click here for a tutorial. If you have any technical questions, then feel free to contact us: firstname.lastname@example.org
Do you want to try it beforehand?
We are offering two testrun sessions for everyone who would like to try out the platform beforehand.
