We are happy to invite you to the 15th ARPH Conference, taking place on March 19–20, 2026. The conference will be hosted by the ARPH board in Egmond aan Zee. As always, our program will feature inspiring keynote lectures, symposia, workshops, oral presentations, and poster sessions, along with social and networking events. The conference dinner and party are included in the registration fee.

Meet our keynote speakers

Dr. Lea den Broeder

Lea den Broeder works at the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and serves as a professor in ‘Health and Environment’ at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Lea has focused on Integrated Health Policy, specifically examining the interaction between people and their living environment. She is a leading expert in citizen science approaches and resident participation, particularly among vulnerable groups. Lea has extensive experience in (community-based) Health Impact Assessment, contributing to methodology and instrument development and providing training both in the Netherlands and abroad. In a partnership with dr. Chrisje Couwenbergh, she has led the most recent edition of the national Public Health Foresight Study, an extensive scientific project including a range of quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods approaches, cooperating with a vast network of experts, stakeholders and citizens.

Prof. dr. Lilian Lechner

Lilian Lechner is a Professor of Health Psychology at the Open University and the chair of the Health Psychology Department. Her research focuses on understanding health related behaviors and on strategies for behavior change, as well as the development, evaluation, and dissemination of interventions aimed at promoting health by encouraging healthy lifestyle choices and effective self-management.

We invite submissions for the ARPH PhD Award. The award is meant to support young researchers in the field of psychology and health who just received their PhD title.

Meet a mentor

The ARPH is organizing another “Meet a mentor” programme. At the conference, junior researchers are given the opportunity to schedule a 30-60 minute meeting with a senior researcher (mentor). Before the meeting, the juniors will send a short summary and some questions they would like to discuss.
